Triple-digit temperatures are almost here, and while we can't cool down Texas, we can make shelter life a little brighter. Throughout July, we're collecting toys, treats, blankets, enrichment, and other wishlist items to help bring a little Christmas magic indoors for the 600+ pets currently in Dallas Animal Services' care.

Dallas Animal Services is one of the nation's largest municipal animal shelters and the only open-admission shelter serving the City of Dallas. That means every animal who comes through its doors is welcomed—regardless of age, breed, medical needs, or available kennel space.
Every day, hundreds of pets are waiting for a second chance. While they wait for loving families, donations from our community provide comfort, enrichment, and a little extra joy when they need it most. That's where you come in.

Senior babies❤️Every pet deserves their moment to shine. Since we can't feature all 600+ animals at once, we'll introduce a new group every Monday. This week, meet the shelter's senior babies, they deserve a second chance at a forever home to spend their golden years with a loving family.

Every adoption changes not one life, but two. The pet who finds their forever family, and the next pet who now has a kennel waiting because one just opened up.
Be an elf in person
The shelter runs on people power. Become a volunteer by walking dogs, cuddling kittens, taking a dog out for the day, fostering a pet until they find their forever family, or giving a shelter pet a summer sleepover.
Spread the jolly
Every share puts these faces in front of someone who might be their person. It also helps spread the word to people who can donate, volunteer, or help make this campaign a success.
